Great-West Life currently offers four types of insurance products, all related to life and health. Here we will have a look at each of them and what makes them stand out.
- Life Insurance – There are two main types of insurance offered by Great-West life. The first is Term Life Insurance which provides affordable covers and can be renewed after five, 10 or 20 years. During these renewals, you do not need to provide proof of your health, however it should be noted that the price will increase to suit in with your growing age. A Permanent Life Insurance will cover you for a lifetime. You can expect to have your cash surrender values built and get benefits for your death. There are two types of Permanent Life Insurance to choose from: Participating Life Insurance and Universal Life Insurance.
- Disability Insurance – You can either get personal or business protection under this, with more sub categories under each of them. Basically what you will be provided are benefits if you ever become disabled. Some of the benefits that you can receive are cash flow, transplant surgery, survivorship, partial disability and more.
- Critical Illness Insurance – This plan is for both adults and children, with separate plans for each. For a basic adult plan, expect to be covered up to $1,000,000 for personal protection, with a minimum of $10,000. You will also have the option to choose from Level Coverage or Decreasing Coverage. Benefits for a children plan includes a lump sum benefit of up to $250,000, coverage of five conditions such as aortic surgery, coma, deafness, severe burns, diabetes, kidney failures and others.
- Health and Dental Insurance – The government doesn't cover every expenses for your health but by getting this cover, you will be able to be covered for things like prescription drugs, dentist visits and ambulance transportation. There are three types of policies you can take out: Individuals/Families, 50+ and People About to Retire.
